Young Love is Mat's third album and this album is full of upbeat tunes yet has a nice mellow feel. There are ten songs and each song has a unique sound full of bouncy claps, funky beats and are led by Mat's smooth voice. Hey Mama, the song that leads the album grabs listeners and I couldn't help but dance around my house as I listened. My favorite is Learning to Love Again. Mat's strong voice commands listeners to learn to stop and listen:
Mat's sound reminds me of Jack Johnson but Mat is no wannabe imitator. His songs are fun, made me dance and hum along and so far I have listened to the CD three times. Check out the video for Hey Mama and then click on the link to the iTunes store for more.

'Cause that was the real you running through the fields of gold wide open
Standing in places no picture contains
That was the real you, windows down, we could smell the mint fields crying
Sing with the radio to song we can't name
